Why'd the stop making these games? I know V3's whole message was like 'How could you expect us to make this game forever incels?' but then Kodaka just went and made DR but worse, twice

V3 was Kodaka admitting frustration that everything DR-related he tried that wasn't Trial-focused withered and died, while Rain Code was just him getting cases that the accepted 'rules' of DR's Class Trials wouldn't let him do out of his system. Maybe a potential follow-up to V3 could change up the rules and make things fresh again, but RC's method of 'you get exactly one other detective for this chapter and there'll be no lasting character growth' missed the point of DR's approach entirely.

I'm surprised they haven't just made more games without Kodaka. The killing game template Danganronpa has gives a lot of room for creativity and you really could milk as many games as they did in the V3 universe

Honestly I could not give less of a shit about the DR universe. I'm guessing Kodaka was hung up on his lore aspects and not the fact that he created a great follow up to the Ace Attorney gameplay formula.

Japanese producers seem to fall for this a lot, what a shame.
