OK? This game has improved mechanics from the previous game like fighting enemies from the rear, the combo system and bosses are just a lot more challenging and interesting than in Mother 2.
It was a fine RPG and I was left confused because I was expected to hate it, considering how many people on /v/ spit vitriol about it (maybe it's just one anon)

The combat in a JRPG doesn't need to be difficult. And as long as you don't look shit up, it becomes a lot harder to 16 combo as the game progresses. I thought the overall difficulty was perfect, honestly.

I like the game but I think the intro drags for way too long, you swap PoVs a bazillion times before the actual adventure across the world with Lucas and the gang begins. Replaying the game is a bit of a slog because of this, where Earthbound shoves you straight into the game basically immediately.
