It's getting to a point where any thread with anthropomorphic animal characters will inevitably drift off topic and become a soft porn dump, or an outright porn dump. Nothing is safe. Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Sly Cooper, Rivals of Aether, Ratchet and Clank. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Banjo Kazooie, Conker. All of them will inevitably succumb to hornyposting.

There's a very simple way of resolving that problem, even if it's not strictly easy. Let /fur/ exist. All the hornyposters will get their fix there, and the people who actually want to discuss the games will stay here and have typical discussions without that burden.
And as a bonus, I'm sure all the ad spaces on /fur/ would sell out at almost any price they'd charge, and it would go a long way towards keeping this whole website solvent.

And it would just be nice to get all the decent quality furry threads off of /trash/ so they're not sharing space with all that much more severe mental illness. I just want to be able to report the guy spamming diapers and scat, and trying to start arguments in my vanilla threads.

They created /aco/ and it cut down on hornyposting on /co/ proper by a huge amount. And we'll never know just how much worse things would be if there were zero red boards at all.
I'm reasonably confident that the anons doing this shit are doing it as part of a deliberate effort to force them to create a containment board like with /mlp/.
