I beat the psp game in middle school and I dont recall it being too difficult
I liked the story / gameplay back then but unless they add difficulty / challenge options I feel like it will be playing vs kids

you can over level the story battles but not the random encounters. it's more about the abilities/jobs than the levels. have multiple saves because there are save points that trap between a dead end and big boss fights with no way to level up until you win.

simply go into the menu and job change them anon. you have no heals and no damage as squires for generics too, you're gonna need some chemists or something early on
jobs unlock by levelling up other jobs to certain levels. you level jobs by taking actions whilst in that job. you get new skills by spending the jp for that job that you gain by taking actions whilst in that job

I just dislike Reborn solely because graphics are shit, voices are shit, overall balance is even worse than the PSP version, rogues removed, skills and magic choices are much less important now and it's more about 'sort of just hope buff cards drop'

the biggest problem is that they fucked up formulas for evasion and damage and NEVER fixed it, they don't even acknowledge it is fucked
I would say that they preserved too much bloat from PSP version and should cut much more and go back to OG sex class division and clear cut class specs.
Fucked balance is somewhat true but only because of fucked formulas, magic was shafted by status spells and AI never use them.
Its still better game than psp version even with mods.
But what pissed me most is that they make game not working on Win7 with 1.07 patch. I needed to hunt net for 1.06 patch to revert. And so why point is even for paying if I use pirated version?

I like KoL but I'm not a huge fan of player vs enemy turns. The emblem system was superb and something more games should expand upon instead of skill buying or skill trees.
