I like that they keep the OG VA tracks. TTS showed how much fucking a failure it would be to redo them and now the actors aged a bunch, or have even died or whatever.
I don't like that they don't seem to add to the level design, or do nothing interesting with the mechanics. It really is just a desaturated UE5 slop remake with worse than-Pachinko models. Maybe it's enough to trick my brain it's playing something fresh, but maybe not.

On the scale of changes, from 0 to 10 (read as quantity not score), this game is a 0.1 and FF7R is like an 8, ideally it should be a 1 or a 2. So careful, cohesive and considerate changes that fit the game and world design and add without throwing off balance.
Remakes of good games are already pretty pointless but they should be the final layer of polish, not do absolutely nothing or make an entirely new game.

FF7R is a sequel, it is an 11/10 on the changeometer.
MGS∆ has some new things like camera options, so it should already qualify for 1 or 2 because that will change up approaches to situations drastically. The latter is a perfect remake.
