Why the fuck was this game released so many times? I tried playing it and it just seems like your average 3D platformer? Maybe I just don't get the appeal

It's actually a really good game. However, Ubisoft in their infinite greed thought there was a market for it on every system under the sun.
Also, give Rayman Arena a try. It's based off Rayman 2 and the racing mode is fun as fuck.
