I actually beat it for the first time yesterday
Holy shit man these bosses by the end are the most overrated shit ever. Like Slave Knight Gael looks cool but hes also pathetically easy because you dont need to think you just roll forward, his moveset is pure style over substance, you may as well first-try him if youre embered and your weapons arent shit. Nameless King is pretty cool but hes a braindead easy "roll forward" fight except with two-three retarded "haha gotcha trial and error" moves so you die once or twice to them. Midir is a pathetically easy fight except by the halfway mark he has a one shot explosion that kills you while youre wailing at him so you have to take 2 attempts instead of 1. Sister Friede takes 2 phases to stop being a boring awkward fight. Soul Of Cinder is ludokino but still in a similar ballpark of actual gameplay, shit like that

And then nobody told me that THE ENTIRE FIRST FUCKING HALF of the game would be littered with the most fucking stale bosses ever. I was thinking all of DS3 would be stale roll-souls bosses but instead there were some of the most dogshit forgettable and irrelevant meme bosses of the series

The atmosphere is kino and the art design of the world is perfect. People who complain there are no bright orange and neon green areas should probably just play a different game. This game takes place at the end of the world where even fiery demons are turning to ash and stone. It's not boring, it's cohesive. And there's still a lot of ornate architecture and variety.
