my mom does this with literally everything ever. a long time ago i made a conscious decision to not be like this. I think most people don't care and it rolls off them. but most people didn't grow up in the aggressively toxic environment I did.
Maybe that kind of thing is ignorable every now and then but over a period of time and on a consistent basis it's off-putting.
It really doesn't take much to just simply alter your disapproval to something like 'nah that's not for me, I didn't really like it' rather than going on the offensive.

I didn't introduce it to them, but instead I was hanging out with a buddy and a mutual friend, and they whipped out a copy of Fusion Frenzy to play. I was excited, as I remembered it, you know, not being the BEST game out there, but a very solid collection of minigames, and one that I played a decent bit as a kid with my sister.

It was during the like, tron-esque one, where you need to circle tokens with your light trail to get points and can circle players with it to kill them, where they just started shitting on it as complete and utter trash. Just constantly ripping on it and the Xbox in general as being lame or a rip-off. I just had no clue what got them to hate it so much.
