I think it's the exact opposite, there's not a single gamer who doesn't like Nintendo anymore while a bunch of autists can't stop screeching online. Nintendo is doing better than ever, their games are better than ever and they seem absolutely unstoppable now.
Keep in mind that the rest of the industry keeps doing worse both financially and in terms of quality, 99% of Western games are complete trash, a lot of Japanese devs have followed too, so the percentage of good games keeps being dominated more and more by Nintendo with the years. To the point where not owning a Nintendo platform is making you miss out on like a quarter of all good games.
