I actually like the roguelite-ish card system in B4B, the game just has a lot of other glaring issues. I think a sequel could end up being really good if they listen to what L4D vets hated about it, like special infected spam to the point of no longer being "special" and most of them not standing out at all.

You used to be able to go from a running animation to a crouch in a dive. It was really fast. You know how you can abuse movement to move faster like in literally half or more of videogames before 2009? Well the knife was the fastest weapon and people would just run past all zombies while comically sliding and ducking around.
The developers are incompetent so their solution to this problem they created was to remove the sliding/dive mechanic entirely. Now you just stop sprinting and then crouch
