Is there a really good reason for why Visa/Mastercard and other payment processors act so uppity when it comes to video games?
The only reason I can think of is because they think they have an image to protect, but they don't: payment methods are a backend utility that moves money from the customer to the seller. That's it, most consumers don't have a "relationship" with your brand beyond having to hit in some numbers every now and then to pay for the product they themselves chose.

No customer alive has thought:
>"Now to pay for the degenerate product I want, but oh no, I can pay through my hecking wholesome Mastercard? What sin, I must relinquish all connections to Mastercard at once!"
These payment systems are protecting reputations that don't exist. No one has ever turned down Visa despite you being able to pay for your dragon dildo with it.

It's juvenile and unreasonable to think your brand needs protecting from its own users when, at best, your service is seen as a background utility.

Because you and I know their brand is meaningless, but the company itself probably has an Executive Brand Manager or something equally retarded who convinces his board that this is some deeply worrying use of their logo because the Christian community will totally relinquish their credit cards over this.

You know, rationalizing his 7-figure job.

what confuses me most is that it's so lopsided
you can buy porn, like actual hardcore pornographic videos, magazines and subscriptions to porn sites, with both mastercard and visa and no one bats an eye, but a woman in a bikini in an R-rated 18+ video game is where we draw the line?

He's wrong. It effects everyone. Including PayPal users, because the games being taken down to please Visa and Mastercard won't suddenly show up again if you pick PayPal.

I'm personally still stuck at the:
>buying porn games on Steam
There's a ton of legitimate DL sites where you can buy smut, completely uncensored and fully pre-patched with everything you'd ever want and it often costs less than the games do on Steam too. Like why further reinforce Steam's monopoly?

That's pretty much what's going on, they have some higher up exec who hates porno and is trying to use Visa/MC influence to get it banned everywhere. I forgot the mooks name.

It's because of the false equivalent of rape/cp and fictional videogames.

If a money processor allows actual pedos and rapists to share real footage of victims that would actually hit them; hence since some (((groups))) have managed to equate cute anime girls with pedos and "rape/lack of consent", they feel the need to protect themselves as if it were real criminals and real footage.

Yes it's retarded.

Just look to pornhub as an example. If you operate in a legal grey area, all it takes is a journlist writing an emotional piece about possible damage and mentioning that the payment processors are allowing it to happen to start getting lawsuits and congressional hearings. It's proactive risk management based on past experience. And it's all caused by journalists who have an axe to grind or an agenda to push. These companies didn't used to do this until Backpage and Pornhub fiascos where CC companies were targeted as enablers.

that would happen even if the internet died and was erased from the worlds' memory
incest and sexual exploitation existed for as long as human history and everyone knows virtualy experiencing something is "just as good" as the real thing which leads to the perception that the real thing is unnecessary

Wouldn't help, the processors supposedly don't want to be associated with a storefront that has those games at all, even if they aren't processing the payment on them. Just the association is their issue, and they'll drop processing for steam altogether if they allow said games even with alternative payment methods on them. Actual mafia tactics.

Jews own both the porn industry and Visa/MC. They don't want people buying porn games or shit on Onlyfans because that's competition and worst of all doesn't promote the race mixing agenda. So they use Visa and MC as a tool to get rid of non jew-owned porn.

It's pretty simple:
they have massive leverage because digital transfers of fiat currency are clunky
they are in the process of being ideologically captured and enshittified
in the next decade crypto will entirely take over digital money and nobody will want to pay interest or 5% merchant fees anymore
