i missed out on the saturn too. i didn't know anyone who had one growing up either. the sega cd was a neat novelty, but it never saw as much use as my genesis. lords of thunder kicked ass, though

I wish I wasn't a pussy when it came to soldering so I could replace the capacitors on mine. Poor guy has been sitting on my closet for 20 years now.
And to be honest, I don't have much incentive to fix it since Duckstation exists.

This beaut right here. Except my drunken alcoholic father stomped it in a belligerent rage. Still worked afterwards too with the top missing. Memories man; still love Metroid.
More so though, probably PSX and 64. Both got more meaningful playtime. Gran Turismo & monster rancher for the PlayStation, and goldeneye & mario64

the capacitors are probably still fine. reform them with a variable power supply if you have to, but i'm almost certain that it will still work

Another 98chad here, but I had an SNES and a Gameboy pocket, and then a Gamecube. Mario World, Yoshis Island, Mario RPG, Metroid 2, Mario Land 2, Pokemon Gold, and then Double Dash, TTYD, Pokemon XD, and Melee were my shits of choice. I played Frogger and Crash at my cousins place, though. Sometimes I got to use my Great Uncles PC to play Putt Putt Saves the Zoo, Neopets, and Pokemon Crater

93god here
my parents had an Atari, nes, and snes from before I was even born
then we got a ps1 and n64 when I was 3 or 4
I didn't play much of the nes compared to the others. I played the Sega consoles at a kids house on my block but never owned any
then I got a ps2 on launch and a gamecube eventually, and borrowed my uncle's Xbox a lot to play shit like fable
we always had a pc too
as for handhelds I started with a gbc, then a gba, then a ds
the last console I owned was a 360/ps3

To be honest, I THINK it's the capacitors. I bought a new power supply and AVI cables and while the console did turn on, there was no video or audio and it started making weird noises after a few seconds so I turned it off.
I'll try to do what you're suggesting and maybe it will work.

Based. I played a lot of THPS2, Sonic Advance 1, Sapphire, Emerald, some MoH game that was probably shit, and Mario Tennis. I emulate a lot more GBA stuff today, but those were the best of the carts I could find secondhand back in the day.
