>Only the 2nd day since release
>Already lost 70% of viewership
Why do Nintendo games seem to not have much interest from the wider gaming-audience unless it's a new Zelda game or one of their party-games like Smash Bros?
>>715816162 (OP)>launch day>people check if they should buy it>they buy it and play itAlso, the average nintendo enjoyer isnt on twitch
Anti-Nintendo Attack Force is really desperate today
mario kart 8, a game that sold over 70 million copies, rarely got more than a couple hundred viewers on twitch
twitch viewership isn't a valid metric for anything beside twitch viewership
I watched two hours of it and thought it looked boring as sin, not remotely close to mario odyssey
>watched, not played
yeah i know, i shouldnt judge before playing but it just doesnt seem appealing
>viewership
I didnt know it was an anime
Zelda and Metroid are the only nintendo franchises that appeal to hardcore gamers.
>320p 30fps
>2 hours of gameplay
At this point, the only good thing about this game is the porn. Otherwise it has no reason to exist. No thanks! NEXT!
>>715816162 (OP)I keep forgetting that /v/ is legitimately full of underage users who really do care about twitch views
You do realize that Twitch is NOT the wide gaming audience, right? It’s very niche. It’s more niche than fucking Twitter impressions/viewership.
Bananza will sell millions of copies literally the first few days. The top viewed anything on Twitch has 100K viewers.
2 million > 100K viewers. In case, you don’t know how numbers work. The millions of people buying Bananza are not watching people on Twitch.
Also, game streaming is slanted towards PC games due to not requiring extra hardware to stream compared to consoles.
And Nintendo doesn’t really care to sponsor big streamers to play their games. They know it’s like burning money for a shit platform with low viewership. Have you ever seen “drops on” for Nintendo games? They literally don’t need streamers support. FYI, Nintendo has only been somewhat user friendly recently with YouTube/video content. They used to not even want people to make video content with their ips.
>viewership
I have no proper reaction image for this retardation
>>715816162 (OP)We just need to ban zoomers from this site. They think stream views equals sales. Fuck off to somewhere else, broccoli head.
>>715817556>The top viewed anything on Twitch has 100K viewersCope. Cyberpunk had 1 Million Peak viewers and Elden Ring had 900K+ peak viewers on Twitch. No Nintendo game has gotten even close to those and they die-off pretty quickly in engagement, because they just aren't interesting to most.

Also, game streaming/viewership on these platform is slanted towards PC games due to not requiring extra hardware to stream compared to consoles. More people disproportionately stream PC games because it’s easier. More streamers also bring more viewership for PC games. But it’s still tiny compared to the actual gaming audience.

>>715817827BotW, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros Ultimate, and Mario Kart demolished them in sales. Fromsoft now works for Nintendo. CDPR (who is trash now) also works with Nintendo now.
>>715817827I’m talking about right now. Twitch is also a dying platform.
BOTW alone outsold both of these games with no viewership. Animal Crossing. Smash. Like I can go on.
>>715817827I’m talking about right now. Twitch is also a dying platform. Games will not have that viewership anymore. And how does that viewership reflect sales? Elden Ring and Cyberpunk sold less than BOTW.

>>715816162 (OP)Are snoy moviegames so shit and so few people actually want to play them that snoys really use twitch numbers as a benchmark and see no issue with it?
