Man I was defensive that this would at least be a good action game even if not a masterpiece like NG2 but this clip just fully ruined it for me. What the fuck were they thinking with this air time?

It's the fundamental misunderstanding of the NG core that gets me. Not once in these clips I've seen the protagonist have to try hard to just hit an enemy, or chip away an angry belligerent group of hyperactive enemies, and doing all of this while staying extremely mobile and managing enemy aggression with whatever projectile of choice. It's all about grabbing one enemy and doing whatever cinematic bullshit you can get away with.
