She got in early on face-scan tech which got her in good with devs.
She doesn't cause much of a fuss and acts professionally for her jobs, and is willing to go with pretty much any role.
On top of that she actually does have experience acting and voicing stuff.
Generally speaking she's the model actress for this sort of stuff; easy to get and easy to implement. She doesn't even do it for facial recognition, she did pic related for the Oblivion remake and Thira in Doom Dark Ages.

From a moral standpoint he was wrong since he was willing to sell out the rebellion / hidden path for his daughter. It from a logical standpoint it made sense since there is no way Cal and Merrin could keep Tanalor hidden and safe when the rebels will be using it as a secret base. Ironically the very fact that Bode managed to infiltrate Cal's entire inner circle proves that there's no way they can keep it secret.

I mean that Bode's motivations are fully revealed only quite a bit after his betrayal so it feels belated, and I mean his explanations can be hard to parse for some people because he talks about his daughter a lot more than he explains why turning Tanalor into a base for the Resistance is a much worse idea than using it as a safe haven. I had no trouble understanding his explanations but apparently a lot of people didn't get that Tanalor as a safe hiding place would've been much safer for Kata than rebel base Tanalor would.

I thought the last part of Survivor was really the only truly good part, actually. Just like Fallen Order it drags its feet but then kicks into overdrive for the third act before abrutply ending.

Pivoting the story towards high personal stakes and personal urgency, to Cal finally becoming a man, his gradual fall to the dark side because it's impossible to keep his loved ones safe without the power it provides - I think that's 100x more compelling than some generic high republic mcguffin plot shit.
