Honestly, i want more Majima games and i want Majima to take over as the real-time action protagonist because of his broad moveset and that he also can use weapons, unlike Yagami. I also want to see Gaiden interquels or games that take place between previous games in the series, starting with a 0 gaiden that takes place during the 90s and focuses on how the Tojo is handling Japan's economic collapse and also focuses on Goro's relationship with Park and Katsuya.

Don't know how to describe it but after SEGA started pandering to the west due to 0's success, the series feels like it has gradually lost its edge. I don't mean a child's edgy but the game feeling "raw". The recent main entries and gaiden's have this sort of contradiction where the stories take place in gangster settings but it doesn't really feel dangerous or authentic.
The last game that even had a glimpse of it was Lost Judgment

8 grew on me. I hated everything about it at first but 30 hours later I started to finally like it.

7G was raw, the final boss was peak Yakuza. It's just the JRPGs that chose the silly tone, but even then 8 is a bit more serious than 7. Pirateshit is retarded but no more than zombieshit

No. I think a game that focuses on how Majima went from how he was in 0 to how he was in 1, how he became the notorious "Mad Dog of Shimano" would make for a good game, especially against the backdrop of the bubble economy collapsing and how it affected the Yakuza.
Like it or not, 0 is without a doubt the most popular game in the series and it could provide further development for important but now dead characters like Sera, Shimano, Kazama or Dojima, along with fan-favorites like Nishiki and Kuze.

As for Majima taking over as the go-to protagonist for future action games, I just think he has a lot of potential in terms of situations you can put him in and fun fighting styles you can give him.
