Thoughts on Bananza so far? For me it’s the best game Nintendo has released since 2017 and GOTY 2025. I just cleared the forest layer and am now doing the snow layer. I was really demoralized by how shitty Nintendo’s output has been the last 5 years, and Mario Kart World didn’t do anything to change my perspective in that regard. But bananza is just so fucking good. Everything you do feels like sex. Punching shit, destroying shit, rolling and jumping around. My favorite is to get up to a vantage point overlooking the area, rip off a chunk, and chuck it into the distance to watch it break shit and tumble around. Thank you Nintendo for finally giving us a good game

It's an obvious mario odyssey asset flip, but it took the good parts from older games and dumbed down some of the boss fights.
The camera is fucking awful, and the game drops to 10 frames on some of the gold challenges, but besides that it's actually fun
I liked the references to all the older games, even the snes ones.
