Post your friday haul pokebros!
This is mine after hitting just a few local walmarts.
Genuine mental illness, also not videogames
>>>/tg/
>>715850836 (OP)What is this, Pokemon cards?
>>715850890>>>/tg/No. He doesn't belong there either.
>>715850836 (OP)Fuck off back to >>>/biz/
>>715850890>>715850927Pokemon is a video game, people post threads about vidya merch all the time.
Why can't people just get real jobs?
>>715850836 (OP)I'm glad I got to enjoy Pokemon cards as a child before 300-lbs neckbeard losers decided to go to every store in a 25 mile radius to scalp cards so they can avoid getting a real job.
>>715850971Pokemon Trading Cards is not a videogame. Now fuck off.
>inb4 someone posts the old GBC game
>>715850998there is no way they're making real money off of this considering that majority most likely pays some bills and goes back into renewing stock
also they probably don't sell significantly fast
>>715851071If they hold them for a years they're making crazy profits, single packs from ~10 years ago literally went 10x
>>715850998>to scalp cardsIt's not scalping because the people that do this bullshit aren't selling them.
>>715851071>and goes back into renewing stockIt's this. Pokemon cards now are considered a stock. Cryptobros buy them en-masse and hoard them to increase the eventual value. They're not being scalped because they're not being flipped online. They're being sat on. The stock market is a blight upon all of humanity.
>>715851146Who would pay that much for some random pack? I could see if it was Base Set or something.
>>715851237Because people are retarded, the one-in-100+-packs chase card will be worth like 400 dollars and they'll pay 50+ for a single pack hoping to pull it.
>>715851306All this shit over tiny pieces of cardstock with print on them. Do I just have like, reverse-autism or something? I don't see the point in spending vast quantities of money on pieces of cardstock for "muh collection" purposes.
>>715851237because it's like gambling, you will likely get nothing but you could get that rare holo card worth 10x what you paid for that pack
>>715851420Sadly actual collectors aren't why these prices are like this, a few years ago investorfags and youtubers got into Pokemon and started massively pumping the prices of everything, either as speculative assets or to make content.
There are many genuine collectors still who buy cards at these inflated prices, but they're not really the primary reason that the prices are this way.
I bought a bunch of Triumphant starter decks and a pack box in like 2019 or 2020. I got a Gengar Prime in them with those leftover decks that I didn't give away plus my deck from playing in that era so I am content with never touching the TCG again
>>715850836 (OP)i saw my first pokemon card machine yesterday, and all i could think about was how i saw so many videos of scalpers stealing cards from kids at them
Why doesn't someone just murder these people in their homes?
>>715851956I genuinely think what you just posted goes against the recently pushed bill to stop anti semitism and your post is illegal at that
>>715851146Because youtube channels like ShortPocketMonster made it look cool, even if it's retarded on hindsight.
>>715850909Yeah i recognise reshiram and zekrom on some of the boxes
>>715852252It's not illegal to ask a question
idk what anti-semitism has to do with anything
most scalpers are whites and nigs
>>715852658you're advocating for violence against jews so yeah it's illegal
>>715850998I was just thinking that today while I watched some 30 something year old buy a cart worth of those pokemon hershey's chocolate
When I was a kid I got to enjoy the pokemon cereal and the poptarts and shit
Does this go on >>>/vp/ or >>>/tg/? I'm not sure anymore , but this post definitely doesn't belong here, theres nothing about e-celebs of vidya waifu in it.
>>715852737Everyone in this should be telephoned
Explain this to me, do they actually play the tcg or are they scalpers?
This shits going to crash like crypto did back in 2019
scalpers or gambling tards, call it
>>715852881>do they actually play the tcgNo.
>or are they scalpers? Also no. They are investors. They don't play the games and they most certainly don't flip the card packs online.
>>715850836 (OP)I hope your house catches on fire.
>>715852737I fucking hate watching clips of โcivilisedโ people turning into fucking animals over something as benign as cardboard Japanese monster cards. The people in this clip should be forced into a Pokรฉmon TCG sweatshop in Malaysia
>>715852950Nintendo should just start selling singles. It's the only way to combat this behavior.
>>715852889gold too, and silver, and cs2 skins, and the stock market, and uhhhh, everything else that didn't crash and only bullran
>>715852252i dont even hate jews but fuck that bill and everything that comes out of our bullshit gov't. It's gerrymandered, propagandized, corrupt, virtue signalling, illegal bullshit
>>715853030This behaviour makes them fat stacks. They already do reprint cards aggressively so if you want to actually play the game it's not that expensive.
I just want to say that this is more cringe than both Funko Pops and Beanie Babies.
I've posted here before about my dislike of Gamestop and how I never go. And I always get shit ass responses like "they aren't that bad, saviors of physical media (lol), etc. But everytime I have ever set foot in a Gamestop it has been awful.
Well, I had some time between appointments today, so I decided to go instead of running home. It was actually worse than I could have imagined.
You had some scummy dude doing PSA Pokemon card grading, which I had heard is a service they offer but I don't know much about it, and he had a big stack of cards and it was taking forever, and I guess they overloaded the "kong program" or whatever and it wasn't going through so they had to call corporate and he was getting pissed and they were getting pissed etc.
The other register, because as you know sometimes they have TWO employees, was taken up by a methhead trading in two nonfunctional Xbox 360s and that was taking forever. But I don't understand how it was taking forever. You plugged in both, they didn't fucking work, that should be the end of the "interaction".
So I waited 20 minutes to buy my $8 PS4 before just leaving.
I don't know how you people deal with this shit.
>>715850995people have to resort to scalping because of illegals and jeets taking all our jobs. modern america is basically a scam economy anyway. its either scam or get scammed
>>715850836 (OP)Why do pokeretards buy so much sealed product? every other card game i've played it's such a massive neg
>>715855090>massive negAnything is better than poz.
>>715855090Because it consistently goes up in value, especially if it's a good set.
Sealed Pokemon product outperforms the entire stock market.

Why does pokemon attract autism like sonic does?
