Order of Ecclesia merges more linear level design like Classicvania with the metroidvania non linear levels, sort of acting like a spiritual succesor to Simon's quest. It's made harder than most other Igavanias and its combat is designed in a special way since all of your attacks use magic, including melee attacks, but you rapidly regenerate magic. This means you can use magic or projectiles more, but those use more magic than melee attacks and you're vulnerable and unable to attack when you're out of magic. You can also combine glyphs together to perform special attacks using heart points like in SoTN.
