Live service itself isn't the problem, problem is both live service BF games were DOA, so they had no incentive to support them, people only play successful live services because they constantly get updates, content etc. If it fails like BFV or 2042 then neither players nor devs will bother with it

You can open up BFV and play Pacific maps or other post launch maps such as Marita, Mercury, Underground with no issues. You can open up BF4, even BF1 and you will rarely see DLC maps on rotation.

BF3 had better infantry only maps than just Metro. Pretty much any of the Close Quarters maps are better than Metro, no one will host them due to low Premium counts though. Why would you host Ziba Tower or Donya Fortress when only 4 people will play on it?

As someone that doesn't play battlefield I couldn't tell you a single meaningful difference between the last 5 or so games other than the WWI game. Shit looks like madden where they just slap the 2025 on it, make some more generic urban warfare maps, and call it a day. How does anyone get hyped up for these releases.

And? The people who didn't use their gadgets for teamplay purposes when guns were class locked will continue to not use gadgets for teamplay purposes when they can pick whatever gadgets they want. Your best case scenario is nothing changes. Worst case you introduce new balance issues which lead to nerfs that negatively impact people trying to play the class role properly. There's no benefit to this shit except selling more skins.

Teamwork should be incentivized, not removed entirely. The reason retarded cunts would play recon all day was because they're grinding kills for unlocks, and with sniper rifles they'd get no fucking kills. So yes, they end up playing bush wookie for longer than they do assault, support and engineer combined when they can't aim for shit and get all the attachments for their favorite guns 4x slower.

It all comes down to efficiency, and kills being the ONE way to rank up your faggot guns. Get rid of the unlock bullshit and make it a proper fucking game by rewarding you for winning over acting like a retard. Go back to 7 classes.
