I disagree, a lot of board games have a solitaire mode and those are always significantly less fun than the normal multiplayer version. Sometimes the interaction with other people is significant to the experience, especially if it's a simple game built around it

Anyone play Mycopunk? It didnt take off as the streamer flavor of the minute, so it's a pretty nice and self contained fanbase. A ton of secret shit with no one to really make a proper guide or datamine, so discovering secret shit in it is actually exciting, like back in the day

Most fun i have had with one of these games in a while, it seems like a 'friendslop' game, but actually requires skill and teamwork to get up

When I was growing up me and my friends played games for more than 1 month before moving on to something else and they weren't 5 minute code jobs that all looked like the same milled out quick buck slopjob.
