It's straightforward enough when you think about it: casuals see what appear to be deceptively simple games such as shmups and fightans, try them out because freely moving a sprite around the screen or 1v1ing some guy sounds like something you can master in 5 minutes, get absolutely bodied and they are way too far up their own asses to accept it as their fault for not knowing how to actually play these games.
