I never bothered with it because it looked genuinely bad with the regenerating health and challenge pop ups 24/7. Plus Monolith didn't even work on it.

FEAR 2 has some good moments, the replica training faculty part was cool, the school was pretty spoopy. It's just dragged down by some really bad parts, like the mech/turret parts. There was a bit better variety of levels than the the first. FEAR 1 had too many corporate offices. Also abandoning the MC from the first one was dumb. FEAR 2 also didn't have the cooler weapons like the pulse rifle that vaporized enemies down to their bones.

FEAR 1 is better overall but I didn't think FEAR 2 deserved the hate it got.

I think the hospital part in the beginning was really good too. Especially with how they built up the crawlers reveal, showing only brief glimpses and the aftermath of them slaughtering the ATC guys before you actually fight them. Reminded me a lot of Dead Space 2's intro, even though Fear 2 came out first.

The Type 7 is in the game. They just turned it into an aoe projectile thing instead of a fancy sniper. Although I agree that the Fear 1 version of it was cooler.

no fib i actually liked mirror's edge catalyst more than the first game. The running mechanics were definitely casualized but i really liked the combat mechanics, even if they were a bit easy.
