Picture this
>It is 1238
>You are Andrei Nyetrov Aleksandrovic, the 10 year old Prince of Moscow
>The game opens with your kremlin under siege from the Mongols, your father is killed when the mongols break into the fort and begin killing all the men while you, your mother and sister are spared
>Cut forward 10 years
>Your mother and sister have become breeding sows for the new Mongol ruler, their heavily pregnant bellies bulge out from under their dresses
That's all I've got for now

That's a cool setting, but if I'd want an Assassin's Creed in Russia I'd prefer they'd return to the old formula and have it take place in a large city, like Saint Petersburg in 1905 when political and ethnic tensions were high, but Russia still had its old aristocracy. (Although 1917 would probably be an easier sell)

One of those sidescrollers was also set in Japan, so there's no real reason to think they can't make one set in Russia, especially in a different time period. The greater problem is le evil pootin

>Mongolians in Russia

Never happened The so-called "Mongols" did not bring to Russia a single Mongolian word and not a single skull of a representative of the Mongoloid race. "Mongols" in Russia was not. "Tatar-Mongols", Polovtsians and Russes of Ryazan, Vladimir and Kiev were representatives of a single super-ethnos. Therefore, later, when the administrative center of the Eurasian Empire moved from Saray to Moscow, the vast majority of the population of the Horde simply became Russian. Since there were no anthropological, indigenous linguistic and cultural differences between Russians from Moscow and Kiev and the Horde. If at the time of the Golden Horde, the population of the Horde and Russia was approximately equal, then after the fall of the Horde Empire, most of its population (former Polovtsians) became Russian. At the same time, the Russians did not receive Mongoloid features (Mongoloid features are dominant), nor Mongolian words.

The only problem with this is that Putin is actually pro commie and KGB agent, opposite of people like Tsar Nicholas II. As far as Putins ambitions he's basically wanting to reform USSR lands while he still lives due to his nostalgia for Ze Mozerland.

They just went back home after their empire fell. Iran was the hearth of Ilkhanate yet they barely have any Mongolian loanwords too. It's not deep.

If you'd actually look at how the official narrative is you'd see that Putin is neither. The man is a clearcut authoritarian nationalist for whom Russia has a thousand year old unbroken history. He doesn't care about muh communism nor muh monarchy, but rather uses them as symbols of the glorious past, while downplaying all that was bad in both
