GX was as good as it was because it was made by SEGA at its peak before the Sammy merger fucked everything up. A new game by Nintendo wouldn't be as good, and I don't trust the current RGG Studio to not fuck it up given the state of the Monkey Ball remakes.

If you get killed you have to wait like a minute for the other racers to finish. In Knockout Tour in MKWorld if you get knocked out early you gotta wait like 5 minutes, this isn't a big deal.
