Get a cheap joystick with a twist axis and a throttle it works good but you'll have to spend some time configuring the controls
You want the twist axis to be yaw. Left and right is roll and pitch is yaw. And assign buttons to increase or decrease the overall speed of the throttle
Bonus for using that with a vr headset, then it actually feels like youre flying through space in a coordinated way
