Good, fun games, that don't cost an electric bill nor take a decade to develop. We were getting these all 5th, 6th, and 7th gen. I don't get why devs act like the shit is rocket science now but it isn't.

Games aren't getting harder to develop, people are just getting 1) more stupid and 2) more expensive to employ.

How? And why does that even matter? It's not like the devs from the last 20 years are magically dead now.

Wages have barely gone up in the last decade. At least in America anyway.

The time and money being used to develop these games are not indicative of the shit they're putting out though. I'm at the point where I'm thinking this shit is just money laundering. There is no way these AAA games being put out now are taking 5+ years to fucking develop and they aren't as good as previous gen, story wise (which is is subjective, fair enough) but also from a technical and graphical stand point (which is objective).
