Actual TITS fan here. The first game occurs 50 years after the orbal revolution and it's a straightforward analogue to our own technological revolution, so you would truly have to be moronic to misunderstand.

The World Wars showcased an astonishingly quick technological advancement from doing battle with horses during WW1 before switching over to vehicles and flying machines and atomic bombs for the second one in a period of 30 years.
