>hasn’t made a game since portal 2 (2011)
So they got the fanatic overzealoutious cult-like trans army by being a fucking DRM ?
They don’t make games. Steam deck flopped and shitted . All of their big franchises are left dormant in the late 2000s and early 2010/ aside from onlineslop .

What’s the appeal ?

They only have a cult because most terminally-online shillenials and gen ziggers have their entire video game libraries on their platform. That's why they can get away with gimmick-addled shitheaps like HL Alyx.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

Do not buy Valve games. Do not buy Steam games. Do not buy Valve hardware. Email Gabe Newell and tell him that until Valve atones for lying to and betraying the Artifact fanbase, he will not see another thin dime.

I feel like a Left 4 Dead 3 or new Portal would just be underwhelming or dogshit. Are there any franchises you liked from the 90s or 00s that are still getting *good* games at least once or twice a generation? Maybe its a good thing they dont make games anymore

By inventing loot crates, shoving always-online DRM onto single-player games, and demanding a higher cut of sales than any other PC storefront? Fanboys are delusional.

People like them because paid shills and/or retards like you spend literally all day being this much of a butthurt faggot on behalf of companies way worse than them.
When you can point to a vidya fuck up on the same level as EA's Shart Wars Battlefront 4 requiring like 52 years of perfect grinding to unlock everything, or microsoft stealing literally billions of dollars in Gray Market minecrap accounts.
Then we can talk about Valve being bad. Rather than you impotently screaming that Valve doesn't make people re-buy counterstrike and tf2 every year or that the Steam deck runs virtually everything up to its release date and with the current absolute fucking state of gaming you're missing out on fuck all.

I like steam because I can add pirated games to it and play them over steam link. They also made a bunch of games playable on Linux.

>company develops games
>time passes
>company shifts focus to another business area
>"NOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!"
Just get over it. Valve simply doesn't need to be a game developer. Steam prints infinite money. Every game they've made since Steam became successful was just because employees at Valve got bored.
>but what about the overzealoutious [sic] cult army?!?!
Mostly in your head, if you think they're significant enough to be worth a single minute of a single neuron in your head. Surely there are overzealous fanboys but Valve wouldn't care if they all jumped off a cliff because Steam's success comes from your average gamer who just buys games there because it's convenient and because they're on sale. Every other store has a smaller selection and fewer conveniences. The big disadvantage to Steam in comparison to GOG is that Steam doesn't have a no-DRM stance, but do you think normies care? They don't. They just buy PC games on what is, whether you like it or not, the biggest PC game store, which is not cult-like behavior. It's just consumer behavior.

>The big disadvantage to Steam in comparison to GOG is that Steam doesn't have a no-DRM stance
Even that isn't really a negative for Steam because Steam gets far more games brought to PC as a result. It's not a fault with Steam so much as it's a fault with garbage devs and publishers who mandate it. You can put games on Steam completely DRM free, but a lot of devs and publishers opt not to because they want it.

Stop acting ignorant. Unless you are aware of something to the contrary, the standard move would be for the shares to be transferred to his family upon death most likely via a trust.
