>>715925095 (OP)Lately I've been playing a VR shooter with a realistic reload system.
You've got 4 spare mags, and if you reload you lose all the remaining bullets in a mag.
So you have to be careful not to waste your mags by reloading too often, but without being so stingy you run out of bullets when it counts.
And if your gun is empty you have to pull the charging handle to chamber the first round, but there's no good way to know if your gun is empty or not unless you actually run out of bullets while shooting. I often just shoot a couple bullets after a reload to be sure my gun is working.
It's really tricky.

>>715967790I beat the soulsborne franchise without using a single weapon modifier consumable because of that. It's like, ok I can use the lightning resin for an attempt, get my shit rocked, and lose it when there's like 5 in the game. Or I can just get gud and not rely on some paltry buff that's not going to make or break the fight
>>715925179This isn't autistic, this is called being a man of culture and taste.
>>715973942I only ever used the crafting system once and it was to make rot and bleed pots to give to my mimic for a no fragment fight of the second to last boss of the DLC. I forgot it even existed until that point when I was looking for any advantage.
>>715973943Health/resources won't restore. Abilities can be used but can only be restored during battle. Still working on how the levelling system will work. Probably thinking of tying some stats to equipment and events.
It's going to be a Mother (1) style RPG with Undertale/Deltarune (maybe SMT) inspired battles. I need to figure out how to make it fun, fun is the most important part.
I immediatly spam cc/debuffs at bosses/mini bosses/elite enemies to see if it's yet another game where that stuff is useless or actually viable
>>715925095 (OP)If an inconsequential NPC dies I reload and save them
I don't let any NPCs die
Fuck the vampire attacks in dawnguard
>>715975450I was playing Oblivion for the first time earlier this year and kept reloading to save every single NPC that could be. I even paused and looked up the wiki to make sure it was scripted. When playing Look Outside recently, I also ensured not to kill anyone or get anyone killed after being a bit too late at the start...
>>715926382C is toggle crouch
Ctrl is crouch lower
>>715945010Because they always have shit RTS elements
>>715925179i agree in general, even putting games aside. that pixelated crispy MS paint shit in drawings or animations activates something in my brain.
>>715975450I tried in Undead Nightmare but by the time I doubled back on my horse since I was going full gallop the npc already turned it pissed me off
>>715925095 (OP)I take lot of screenshots and keep lot of saves on console so when I die people can see what I went through and check out the most memorable moments
No, I have no friends nor relatives.
>>715951743>In the middle of town?>With no enemies around?Pick one.
>>715930635>game has random chance for variant strategy that isn't otherwise available
>>715938132Fuck elden bin
>>715930778>this always happened to me>play new game >start using consumables during the whole thing>final areas>breaking my balls every fight because I didn't save for a rainy day and now it's the monsoon
>>715926893They do, but the thing is they just end up occupying my inventory until the very end of the game. I rarely have a need to use them because the game creates their scenarios for people who don't have those items in hand so most players aren't softlock.
They become inventory hogs. I sometimes use them just because I have them and might as well just use it.
>>715925095 (OP)I won't use my favorite weapon until I fully upgrade it. I'll beat every enemy for 5 minutes with a rusty shitsword +3 while having a Ancient Bloody Dragonbane Greatsword +9 in my inventory because I want that +10 upgrade to enjoy its full performance.
I will replay a boss fight 50 times because I want to beat the boss with style, slicing him one-sidedly in 15 seconds. I can beat it in 2-3 tries if I play carefully and defensively, but I don't want to.
>>715967937MMOs are different because everyone is expected to use consumables, stop being a disingenuous retard.
>>715977831Let me have my moment of edginess! I waited hours for a reply and it sucked .w.
>>715963161Some games have an indicator that tell you you've read everything that npc has to say. I like those
>>715971229Yeah, my biggest issue with the game was using bamboo shoots as healing potions in my decks and then if I had to pause the game and go talk to my mom they'd turn into bamboo spears.
>>715966809The tower defense genre arose from someone playing Starcraft or AOE like this and wanting to make it as a separate game.
>>715930527>Open new game>after adjusting settings, I close the game and open task manager to see how long it actually takes to closeThere's some weird ones that sometimes take a full minute or more to actually clear itself from the tasks. Abiotic Factor started doing that after the hydro update.
>>715951918>Tough battle >Learning all moves and doing good finally >Finally beat the guy>QTE out of nowhere >Character shits himself, starts crying and slips on his own shit while the guy laughs at him>All the hype and excitement drained >Restart>Beat him again, do the QTE right>Character does super cool while the guy is going on about how cool and awesome I am >Feel nothing
>>715979602>BYOND game>it never actually closes and sometimes open 30 instances of itself while stealing your focus
>>715925179>tfw can't turn off AA in new games because it's basically tied directly to the game and fucks up visuals>it's always the shitty smeary AA games doing thisAbsolute dogshit.
>>715925428In FF7 original certain NPCs in towns change dialogue at certain times.
Not all NPCs though.
Drives me fucking crazy.
>>715925191you frighten me
>win fight
>lose in cutscene
>close game and uninstall
When I play open world games, if there is a quest objective across the map, i have to slowly sweep across the map and discover/clear every single location on the way there
>spamming jumps to proceed into level, you don't even go faster or anything
>see nigger npc
>uninstall and refund
>>715986309I did this in fallout 3 on PS3 and found that the game crashed more often when doing it. I didn't stop I just saved more.
