Physical games are dying. Does anyone care? Honestly, they should have died out when they stopped making physical manuals.

I'm fine with it. Going to a store, or waiting for a disc to be delivered sucks. With a bit luck >we'll get legal protections against companies fucking around too much with DRM and then it's all upsides.

this retarded thread again?
nope steamie, all my games are 100% physical, no internet downloads, full base game playable with no patches, now seethe
so far in the 10th gen, aside from xbox that's dead and irrelevant anyway, only switch 2 is kinda throwing it due to the game key card situation, I really hope tendies have at least some dignity left and will refuse to purcahse this shit so GKC edition bomb and nintendo will have to look for a work-around for third-parties to make cartridges more available, some platforms that sell games even refused to sell game key card edition outright
there are two additional issues
1) GKC editions count as physical editions, so if people buy them less it means decline in physical sells (tendies correct me if I'm wrong on this)
2) Publishers might look at this and incorrectly conclude that physical is dead anyway so they will just push for digital more which is exactly what everyone with a brain wants to avoid

ps6 drops in two years, it can actually be the last home console with a disc drive

>all my games are 100% physical, no internet downloads
So you clearly have missed out on a lot of good games. And since you're a consolepoor, you're getting about 10% of the pixels you should be getting.

Great, now all your games are at the mercy of storefront standards who themselves are at the mercy of VISA and Mastercard. Especially for indie and A/AA developers, how fucking hard is it to just print some DVD/Blu-rays for PC physicals even if as limited editions?

physical games are incredibly important and you'll be upset in 20 years when you can't relive your favorite childhood game or share it with your kids either because it was delisted.

I'm glad not to have a gay disc make noise in my hardware because the DRM requires it to be inserted and swap discs all day to play another game. Please fuck off to your idiot cave.

DRM free downloads and self-archival are a thing with GOG. Need to shitty noisy piece of plastic for playing a game. Modern games require NVME speeds, optical read speed is too slow.

You are so dumb it shows on every single level.

Physical died ages ago, it's just a shambling corpse now. Sucks for consoles where they don't own shit and have zero control, but it was always a non-issue on PC.

You think "Impregnating My Blood Related Little Loli Sister and Her Cat Eared Best Friend" would be picked up by physical retailers?
