>>715943129 (OP)Anthem made horrible mistakes:
Anthem was left with a skeleton crew almost immediately after launch. It released before the game was finished and subjected players to a horribly barren experience, causing popularity to plummet almost instantly
They also put it in some stupid EA game pass thing, so literally nobody bought the actual game.
Then you had things like the following
>no fun "legendary" drops, no reason to keep playing after campaign>no proper endgame content at launchEven for a lootershooter, Anthem was FAR below something like Destiny or warframe, plus the enemy scaling was retarded, higher difficulty experience was dying in 1 seconds if you peeked outside of cover (AND ANTHEM WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A COVERSHOOTER)
Here's some more things it did wrong:
>campaign was short, and the story had no proper conclusion>EA was one of the earliest DEI & woke pushers>Environments were basically only the jungle and caves>insane cash shop for a paid titleThe few things Anthem got right:
>You can really feel the weight difference in the animations, sounds and design of each class, and the flying was cool>Some abilities were fancyYou literally cannot blame "gamers" for the failure of Anthem
Even with the best financial support it could have gotten, Bioware wouldn't have changed the downright insane design choices, lack of coordination and, most importantly, being EA's property.
