Nvidia is a growth stock which relies on potential future earnings not current earnings to increase in value.
That $4,000 billion is a valuation on the Nvidias' POTENTIAL future earnings.
They don't actually own anything tangibly worth anything close to $4,000 billion but people are betting they will in the future.
