On the other hand, both of them are very talented actors who've done some very solid performances across various shows, and have had legitimate theater training at prestigious schools and acting academies. But it's legitimately bizarre how Nintendo just didn't seem to take their looks into consideration at all, when a big part of Link & Zelda's appeal (especially with teen and young adults) is their conventional "leading man/leading woman" teen heartthrob & waifu attractiveness that has become a staple of their character designs across literal decades & age demographics at this point.
I'll just be brutally honest: here's an underlying reason why the Zelda series gained a huge female target demographic after Ocarina of Time. There's an underlying reason why so many zoomer fangirls "stan" the fuck out of Breath of The Wild's Zelda to an obsessive degree. There's an underlying reason why so much BoTW Zelink shipping and fanart floods the front page of the #Zelda hashtag on just about social media site's search bar these days. There's a reason why you have so many fanboys waifuing Zelda with shit like ass-porn imagery, or why Nintendo's incorporated so many cute waifu types into these games to begin with.
