I have a 5070ti and between nvidia's framegen and AMD's framegen I actually prefer AMD's implementation. There's in fact less artifacts and interpolation issues. Also runs faster since AMD's FG isn't bogged down with useless ai processing.
I was quite disappointed seeing this. Nvidia doesn't even have a latency advantage since you can inject reflex manually for AMD framegen anyway (on an nvidia GPU, I guess on AMD cards you can't do that and that makes using FG on them impossible)

ur doing something wrong once again. stop using external limiters and reflex injectors when using framegen, they are the reason why ur experience is bad. but if u wont listen thats how its gonna be.

I tried nvidia FG without external shit though. It will normally handle reflex automatically and I can feel that it does. It's AMD's framegen that will need external Reflex injection. It's AMD's FG that is a bad experience without this trick in term of lag, Nvidia's feels great, but it looks actually worse.

So even if performance was there it would be 10x worse than on any Nvidia card

The line that gave away you don't actually have a 5070ti. The performance hit from fsr is like 20%+, on dlss it's virtually 0

Yea, you are clueless.
Both FG have around 20% performance hit, so it doesn't really matter which one you are using in that regard.

Meanwhile I'll tell you to check if you aren't heavy CPU limited before you start using FG to prove it.

My display is 144hz.
Can I frame limit to 60fps then frame gen up to 120 and keep it there? My refresh rate reports 144hz when I do this.

And here's framegen on with x4 forced in app, 0 (real) difference in performance.
>latency
You aren't going to feel the difference between like 35 and 40ms, which with just a spot check seems like the type of difference you'll be seeing.
>>716007381
You can't use a frame rate limiter, it for whatever reason jacks up latency. Even if it's a number like 300 it'll be basically unplayable. Reflex is supposed to cap the framerate but for me it for whatever reason only works like half the time.

Why don't you simply hop into the game and show the overlay? Because your testing is certainly flawed something doesn't add up. FG isn't free.
Is it because of super low resolution?

I couldn't figure out how to get the nvidia overlay to show and I'm not taking a video or something.
It isn't free I guess but your screenshot insinuates on the 5090 it's a 15% hit (or something I can't do math in my head) to performance in alan wake at least, which I don't see any real proof of, feel like my testing method is at minimum comparable to just assuming that because 4x isn't really 4x it must mean there's a decent performance hit. Maybe the performance of fg is limited by the tensor cores or whatever part of the gpu does that calculation

>super low resolution
Yeah it's 1080p dlssQ but that's in the screenshots

Yeah, overlays are a pain to capture sometimes.
performance hit with both upscaling and frame gen enabled at the same time is bigger than with just FG.
4090, 5090 doesn't matter. But if it was only tensors, lower end GPUs would drop more frames in the result.
