Save for modifications, most skill tree points felt very generic and not at all specific to the character you're playing. Padding most of the skill trees with gay shit like that makes me play 1 run, maybe not even. I don't think it's possible. The first two games were lighting in a bottle moment that sinergized with the humor of that moment to produce a decent game.
There has been way better looter shooters since Borderlands 2 way better.
I think it's fair to say that not even 20% of Borderlands 2 payers played 3. It simply not the style of game people want anymore.
What they'd need to do is revamp the whole fiction. Make it more new Mad Max movies and less Borderlands.
Goofy looking villans that are serious in tone, actual disturbing shit shown how brutal the wasteland is and not Borderlands Movie Tier humor.
The villans need to make sense. They need to be fleshed out and have good ideas. They need to be fighting "for the wasteland people" but their morals are totally distorted by constant violence and the low value of life.

So I basically I don't think I'll buy it just like 3. I do not think the creators can create a world compelling enough for me to play their game. If i want the gameplay well that can be found in Destiny 2, Warframe, First Descendant, Infinity Siege, fuck I'll even say Outriders or the Division 2...

Gaige becomes a Giantess and you have to not get stomped on by her and she has a special grab move that puts you inside of her tights which is an instant kill but only after you fall into them.

I hated borderlands so fucking much. constant stop and go gameplay. fight something, loot item, 5 minutes of exposition while you go somewhere else. the jokes are okay but they get old fucking fast, which is probably why redditors love it I guess.

1)Add an auto skip all dialogue toggle so you can just go straight to the objective instead of waiting around for characters to stop talking so you can interact with a button.
2) Make pearlescents a thing on LAUNCH. They've been around for over 14 years now there's no reason why they can't be an extra god tier rarity for you to chase, bl3 has a bunch of op guns but the average player doesn't give a shit because they all look the same when they're slapped together as legendaries
3) Make endgame multiply enemy health by 3 times, that's it. Bl2 had x4 health and health regen on top of that so every fight felt like an overglorified dps race where you had to slag people and then shoot them before they regen all their health and fuck over all your progress. Bl3 got rid of slag, but they made the health rates go all the way up to 10,000% so you couldn't even slag a dude and kill him with a purple weapon if you wanted to.
4)Give us a better transition to OP levels/Mayhem. Like if you hit max level, you could now get a currency so you can level up your gun now instead of having to regrind your gun every op level or just skip straight to the end like with mayhem mode. you could always just stick to max level, but I never liked that since you always knew in the back of your mind that you have objectively worse gear
