Imagine how crazy it must have been to be sentient at this time and playing games. You went from completely 2D games in 1995 like Chrono Trigger, to games like OoT and FF7 in 1997 and 1998, and then 3 years later you have Ico, GTA 3, Halo… just imagine. Going from Chrono Trigger to Halo in 6 years, and then GTA IV in 6 more years. Just insane to think about. Meanwhile Mario Kart World and DK Bananza barely feel like they’ve progressed since 2017 launch titles for Switch, Death Stranding 2 comes out 6 years after Death Stranding 1 and nothing changes, same with all the other Sony movies games and Microsoft gamepass slop… we are completely stagnant as an industry

GTA IV is fairly flexible with how you approach missions, you are thinking more of RDR2 and GTAV that are very strict on failing you if you step one toe out of line.
