Yes. Even Super Circuit is better than this game because at least it has novelty. Two characters on one cart isn't novel it's just a pointless gimmick. The tracks suck in this game too.

i wouldn't call double dash a bad game or anything but it's pretty rushed, and yeah the controls are pretty wack. i played it day one and loved it at the time, but it's really hard to go back to.

Double Dash doesn't deserve to be on the pedestal it constantly gets elevated to. It was a novel idea at the time and the 16-player LAN support was a neat gimmick, but apart from a few iconic maps there's no part of it I miss.

i still like super circuit, but i think it's the worst (like the other anon said, i probably enjoy it more than super but super gets brownie points for being the first). sunset wilds is inarguable kino though, and the soundtrack in general rules. watching high level super circuit gameplay makes me appreciate it more, but i'm too ass to enjoy it on that level myself

Double-dash was the best one with the most kino cast and stages and the best music and most fun to play with friends, and the unlockables are a fun challenge for solo players since you need to earn them as apposed to a game where they come easy.

Not at all. On the contrary, different characters having unbalanced stats actually aids in gameplay variety and also can act as an either a buffer or a handicapped depending on the attended goal of the player(s). Hence Sakuari describing pichu (who actually took damage from his special attack and was otherwise weak) as a character you could play against someone not very good at video games to give them a boost.
