Is there any PC handheld out there that has surpassed the Deck yet?

Depends on what you mean by “surpassed.” Performance-wise, some of the newer Ayaneo models or the ROG Ally have better specs on paper (higher-res screens, faster CPUs), but the Deck still reigns supreme in terms of value, community support, and software integration with SteamOS. It’s the most plug-and-play experience by far. Unless you’re dead set on maxing out settings in every game, the Deck still holds its ground.

No, they refuse to do 4 backpaddles and 2 touchpads.

The Odin Mini 2 because it's an actual handheld and not just a giant tablet with handles.

Any of the handhelds with a Z1 Extreme chip in it.

Steam streaming is the future, not gigantic handhelds that can play games at low settings. I have a Steam Deck and once I started streaming from my home CPU is when it clicked.

I guess I mean for graphic intensive games. A better form factor and decent power to run 2D indie titles would be good.

I can't believe how many Deck competitors skip the trackpads and run Windows out of the box. Using Windows with only a touch screen is garbage

Rog Ally X already btfo the 'eck in performance and battery life with a VRR screen comparable to the OLED and way better than the LCD 'eck. No trackpads though.

Depends on what you mean by surpassed. If price isn't an issue then yeah there's better options now. But for the Deck's price point? It doesn't get better really.

Not really. ASUS is a dogshit company with worse anti-consumer practices than Nintendo, nVidia, EA, Ubisoft, and Activision combined.
Not to mention their hardware is dogshit.
They probably are the closet potential.
