The Mordin Solus questline in ME2 was so fucking good, making the player understand and sympathize with something that was portrayed as evil and genocidal on the first game.

Will ME4 have anything even half as good and thought provoking as that?

yes i did back when it first came out, because it's the nice guy thing to do. now that i'm an adult i realize that modern politics is dominated by naive childlike retards who will always take the nice guy stance because the solution to many uncomfortable problems will be the harsh and unpopular one.

Very few things in video games make for legitimately acceptable litmus tests on if a person is worthy of human rights.
Curing the genophage is one of them.
FUCK the Salarians, and FUCK the Turians, they got what they paid for with the Krogan but couldn't repay the loan.
However, in game I think it's stupid for curing it to be the unambigous good guy move. In the first game it's spoken of pretty negatively for the most part, with some exception obviously, and in the 2nd the game actually fleshes out what went into creating the genophage and sympathizing with the reasons it was made. And then the 3rd kinda strong arms the player into wanting to cure it by tying into a personal redemption quest for Mordin, who most people really like.

Of course because Wrex and Grunt are bros while the Salarian keep whining without giving me any actual help. Even the Salarian military got tired of their politicians.

Also the Salarian literally learn nothing because they were planning to uplift the Yagn to be fight the Reapers.
A lot of problem in the universe is because the council is dominated by only 3 races. The Salarians are short-sighted, the Asari doesn't give a shit about anyone else and the Turian being a bunch of warhawks.

The Krogan, like every other race, went through time of crisis and would eventually rise up from the ash again like how every civilization do. The problem is that the council decided to uplift the Krogan before their time rather than let them develop naturally and their culture simply didn't adapt fast enough to the evolution of their technologies. However the Genophage basically killed any chance of their culture evolve because it cause all the man to become mercenary and all the female to become suicidal.
