Do zoomers even watch TVs? I thought you just stare at your phone screen all day and "stream" the nostalgiabait of the month.

CRTs are better in most cases, but they were unable to make them very big, so normalfags were quick to adopt LCDs despite their flaws for the promise of bigger screens.

That's a great point to make if your goal is being wrong.

Computer monitors > TVs
That still applies even for CRT. Even more so if you were to adopt that old technology and find yourself one of those more rare expensive on ebay top tier ones that can output higher resolutions and refresh rates and modern games look good on.

LCDs are way cheaper to make that is why they took over. LCDs for the longest time were dogshit and only got good recently just in time to get replaced by OLED and MiniLED which are far better tech.

It's gonna take some time for motion clarity to get there. At least with OLED you need 480hz to be able to even scratch the service of what a CRT can do, and i would say that is not enough. The realistic way to get the same motion clarity might be 1000hz. And of course an improved method superior to BFI. CRT beam simulation could help achieve better results. Maybe gsync pulsar modules being put in to OLEDs will solve some things. If that is not being talked about on your consumer televisions then you are far off from having a CRT replacement. It's more likely to happen on the monitors than it is with the smart TVs.

If you're asking if zoomers still watch cable, then no. Who even still use cables nowadays besides boomers?
If you're asking if zoomers still watch TVs period, then yeah. TVs since last decade have built in streaming services like Netflix. Same with game consoles

This desu
I have a desk with consoles underneath, and it's nice to switch between using my PC and playing on consoles with a button press

The modern world is too gay and poor to get tech as good as the CRTs were. I'm happy OLEDs are as cheap they are now at least.

Zoomers grew up with the final days of CRTs, when the technology was mature. Sending radiation into your eyes is retarded when there are better options these days.

CRTs mog LCDs its not even close. Only in the last little bit have LCDs not been a huge step backwards in quality. I'm convinced shows and movies have used less black high contrast imagery since LCD took over because of how shit they looked on LCDs.
