It used to mean "your backpack is full, sir please do the needful and open your inventory so you can squint at weight and gold numbers and try to minmax which vendor trash to throw away and which vendor trash to throw away two minutes from now", now it's "ok so this thing needs to go first because of my perk that retriggers the first slot, and this can go in either 3 or 5 because I need it to be in an odd numbered slot, ah shit but I need this one to go before this one, unless I'm ready to pivot my build away from needing this other thing..."
Crafting, unfortunately, was never fixable.
