Crash was Naughty Dog’s shot at doing something similar for early 3D on the PS1-tight controls, iconic character, linear level design. Comparable in ambition and era-defining for their systems, but different beasts entirely. If anything, Crash is the "Donkey Kong Country" of the PlayStation.
