Shouldn't have had texture filtering or widescreen. More triggers under fingers. Second stick. Bigger battery. If discs then minidisc, or use minidisc players to read game information. Be interesting to have music what was main for games, building them, being prompts as what to do. Shit format but more durable than CDs maybe. Or use cd players/DVD players.

A lot more expensive and then maybe worth having maybe. Should have at least been able to play PS2 games.

Sick of this Nintendo compromise shit. People getting a catch up shit secondary experience. Cheap option should be old stuff maybe. New stuff shouldn't be shit.

I begged my mom to buy me a PSP for Christmas because I was obsessed with Sonic and wanted to play Rivals 1 and 2. I didn't like them and I felt like I took advantage of my mom. I didn't get more games like Dissidia and Peace Walker until around five years later.

As a Medievilfag from the 90s, fuck off. Well, kind of. I finally played Resurrection last year and while it wasn't unplayable I also struggle to call it MediEvil. Botching Scarecrow Fields as hard as it did, all those shitty minigames, the dialogue that went on twice as long for punchlines half as good, it was a shadow of the real deal. Best level it had was the only original one, weirdly enough. Still, the PS4 remake was miles better.

The Vita was killed by Andrew House wanting it fucking dead. It had decent in-house support for a year or two and then it dropped off a cliff to focus on PS4. Makes some sense I suppose, but at the time you could still ask why Sony couldn't handle both. These days, that's less of a mystery. At least the niche Japanese support remained modest throughout its lifespan.

Sony tried by putting some of its bigger names on it at first like Uncharted, Killzone, Wipeout and LittleBigPlanet, but to a point it was like "who wants portable versions of PS3 games"? At least they put their backs into Killzone Mercenary, which was genuinely a technical marvel for the time. 30 FPS aside, it actually was just Killzone on a handheld.

this is really autistic but i really want a PSP1000 specifically because i think it just looks so goddamn nice. My current PSP3000 is great, infact i use it pretty much exclusively to run PS1 games but i like the larger grips, vent hole things along the top bezel and the smaller screen. Should i pick one up or just keep enjoying my 3000? I have a 1000 that I imported on launch. They look nice, but they suck. The square button is ass because half the button is actually over the screen bezel, only half the button is actually making contact with the rubber dome switch. I think its a similar issue for the dpad, but I cant remember.

It also guzzles battery compared to the newer ones. The screen doesnt look as nice, either. The UMD mechanism is cool as shit though.
