I'd say learn to 3d model to bulid the 3d character you want to make but if you already know or want to have the game itself done then fill it with characters then you should fuck around with a few game engines.

Generally people who actually make games pull through precisely because they started with an actual plan. I will enjoy knowing you'll never touch your project again and go back to making shit threads on /v/ once the dopamine of going "wowie I'm gonna learn something new!" wears off and you're mere figment of a concept of an idea isn't enough to carry you through years of grueling work.

Do a couple of Unity tutorials first, then start fucking around in engine. Whenever you get stuck (all the time) look up the answer on Youtube or ask an AI to help you learn. Don't just ask the AI to do it for you because you won't learn anything.

Use Godot.

Godot 3D is fine for simple shit.
Fuck around with their demos and online resources until you understand. Webfishing was practically using out of the box steam lobby integration and their bare bones 3D character controls.

Can you code? Look up the Godot docs.
Can't code? Read demo code until you can.
