Because Nintendo refuses to market anything that isn’t Zelda or Mario like it actually exists. DK Bananza is legit one of the most fun 2D platformers in years-tight controls, layered level design, and that absurdly good David Wise soundtrack-and they just shadow-dropped it between their Pokémon chibi remaster and yet another Switch Online drip feed. Of course it’s gonna underperform. They buried it.

I bought it physical from best buy for $75. I will now order a copy from Amazon and return that to Best Buy. Also Banaza has extremely quick load times on cart since it is using Nintendo magic.

I love the seething and malding this game causes here.
It’s the best 3d platformer game ever made, no amount of seething is ever going to change that, but it’s funny watching you guys squirm in impotent indignation over it.

I'm friends with a lot of well-reasoned individuals, and about half of them like bananza while half hate it. You're right, it's frustrating that when my experience is different with people I know vs what I see online. I dug deeper, I tried searching for bad reviews of it on google, youtube, and other western searches and they weren't coming up, even when I searched for the exact name of the bad review and it didnt come up. Then when I searched on yandex they instantly came up. You're right, it's frustrating that shareholders such as black rock and vanguard own high % of both nintendo and search conglomerates such as google, and there's nothing I can do about it. You might even be getting paid by another conglomerate owned by them, and there's nothing I can do about that. I can only share my personal experience with the game and that of my friends here in a logical and well-reasoned manner, and hope other people don't get scammed out of $600 by nintendo like I was. Or maybe they'll like it like half my friends, but they should know it's a gamble, and my information and my expereience can only help other people make better consumer choices.

DO NOT BUY physical versions of popular games from Amazon, the price is lower because you're going to receive an empty case without the cartridge inside.
