I won't lie I'm easy to please, they can make EYE2 made of loading screens with quotes again and I would buy it 60 USD. I'm one of the few guys who bothered to make it to the top players for the capture the flag gamemode, I've played hundreds of hours of single player, co-op, etc. I have been wanting this for ten years. Actually no I do have some hopes and wishes. I would very much enjoy the returning feeling of playfulness and sophomore male writing: the advertisements made of sexy women with guns in New Eden, the replica arena of the Ghost in the Shell (1995) tank battle, the one guy on Mars - I think - who talks about how he heard this story of a bunch of guys who raped this one chick and says humanity is far worse than animals could ever be; EYE Divine Cybermancy is every bit a sophomore writer's product, and that's a large part of its charm. I would enjoy if that feeling returns.

That's very interesting. I'm sure we'll see a reference or two, but if it's canonically in the past then of course nothing about the first game will be mentioned. But I do think there's room for a sequel, it's not as if they'd written themselves into a corner. Rimanah can be in a coma and someone else can step up to unite Secreta against the metastreumonic force.

Ehhh I can't lie, the 32-40 player co-op never was it for me. You can't appreciate the nuances of the story, the environments, when everyone's running around. A lot of the reputation of being a weird, incomprehensible game came from people who would play with friends, fucking around, and then go "man haha what do I do this game doesn't make sense yo jamie I got a fatal wound from this fucking werewolf why are these guys talking all retarded".

I know for a lot of people that was fine, but EYE was and is more than that.

There would be more leaks if some fucking idiot didn't jump the gun and leak tons of shit about it immediately after we got two special previews.
