When is this fat fuck going to make Half Life 3?

The clamor for Half Life is one of those things that makes me think I'm in the wrong hobby. All Half Life did was remove the pure, no-bullshit arcade gameplay that was the focus at the time and insert a linear adventure full of artificial set pieces created by people more concerned with putting players through an interactive narrative experience than offering pure, simple gameplay. It's everything that people who called themselves "hardcore" complained about and still complain about most games. But I don't know, Half Life has carte blanche to do that, and everyone is clamoring for Half Life 3 as if another linear adventure with set pieces designed to make the player feel like an actor in some Hollywood production was what the gaming industry needed most right now.
