BW2 actually had effort put into it, anon. New areas, new story, actual postgame content, the Battle Subway, PWT with every gym leader and champ from past games. Even the sprite animations were smoother. Compare that to Sword and Shield's tree textures and recycled animations and tell me with a straight face it's the same level of quality. BW2 was peak comfy autism. Everything after went full mobile-tier shovelware.

That said if you use a code to unlock it at the start of the game it's actually pretty good, not retarded smogon-level difficulty hack levels but still much better than the base game where you can stomp everything with your starter.

I remember being really disappointed with BW because of how the standard dex was restricted to only gen 5 pokemon and didn't bother playing BW2
What a shame too, because the inclusion of past gen pokemon in BW2 makes all the difference
