this was balanced. even with massive investment you had to stay active and alert because you had to maintain your energy and avoid sources of death cancelation because the backlash damage from hysteria deactivating would take away your shield gate (sometimes ignoring it outright) and leave you open to enemies (unlike certain other invuln frames, like revenant which is the current top played frame)
the """""problem""""" is that this was a channeled ability. so you just pressed it once and had the invuln as long as you had energy. this was part of her appeal over BETTER invuln frames because you didnt have to micromanage cooldowns.

problem is that this does not work, health tanks are permanent B-listers that are rarely used in high level content and often fall back to a shieldgate build because health tanking takes too much investment and starts to take from the build for the frame itself.
death gates also fall in the same boat, you just start taking too much damage after a point and cant get your death gate back.
the only way to maintain this death gate is to use a fucking AFK build.
to compensate for worse survivability, the devs gave her more single target damage.
she could already one shot levelcap enemies.
in other words, she's been turned from an unstoppable berserker (her whole appeal and theme, what the devs advertise her ass) to a very stoppable berserker.
